Self-lubricating brass internal bushing 16mm
This original Evo3POD bushing for 16mm posts has been designed to modify posts and pegs by replacing the external bushing with this new internal model.
IN this way it will be possible to insert evo3pod components from above without having to extract the peg from the sand or from the JP type angle.
The bushing is milled internally, the two grooves allow the bushing to adhere well with hot glue (recommended). Hot glue is the stick type that is used with a gun or with a torch or lighter.
How to replace the bushing on a post already equipped with an external bushing:
1- Cut the post at the base of the bush with a hacksaw
2- Apply hot glue with a gun or torch or lighter on the bushing, make sure you put plenty of glue that fills the two grooves well
3- Heat both the glue on the bushing and the part of the post where the bushing needs to be inserted with a torch.
4- when the glue and the stake are hot enough, insert the bushing inside without touching it until the glue has cooled.
Advice:
- To hold the bushing, heat the glue without burning yourself, simply screw a rod support Y fork to the bushing and hold it by the Y fork. Alternatively, any accessory that can be screwed on is fine.
- In the upper external part of the post it is advisable to make 2 turns of paper tape so as to remove the tape with the excess glue without dirtying the external post.
- Carry out the bushing insertion operation as quickly as possible with freshly heated glue because both the brass and the aluminum will cool it down in a few seconds.
- After inserting the bushing, remove the tape on the post to remove excess glue but do not touch or rotate the bushing until it has cooled.
- To cool the glue quickly and make sure it sticks well, as soon as the bushing is inserted with hot glue, you can insert the whole piece into water or under the cold water tap.
